Job Summary

The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for assisting with the strength and conditioning program for all sports, with the three major goals of improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills. The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach will help devise training plans according to sound scientific principles, supervises training sessions, evaluates athletes, maintains athlete records, and teaches strength and conditioning classes as needed. The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach meets regularly with sport coaches to determine what the athletes need to work on. If working with an injured athlete engaged in rehabilitation, the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach will consult with the athletic training staff. The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for helping maintain the strength and conditioning facility, and for following policies, plans, and procedures for the safe and professional operation of the facility. Essential Duties/Responsibilities – Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach – Upper School Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in Preparing training facilities and training space for the day’s work Assist with the delivery of the St. Margaret’s Strength and Conditioning Program Assist with Program analytics and athlete and coach communication Help with daily maintenance and cleaning of Training facility. Assist with one or two PE classes and be actively engaged with training of upper school athletic teams.
