Part time Faculty, Librarian

We are searching for an experienced Part time Faculty, Librarian at our Santa Maria Campus facility.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Part-time, faculty - Librarian

 

Allan Hancock College is accepting applications for two part-time instructors to establish a pool of qualified candidates to teach at the Santa Maria campus for fall 2020. As positions for part-time instructors in social sciences open, the department will select instructors from the established pool.

 

*Please note due to COVID-10 will primarily be performed remotely. Typical workload will include staffing the library reference chat, preparing and delivering remote library instruction and orientations, and providing remote research consultations.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Master's in library science, library and information science, OR the equivalent.

 

Special Qualification:

 

Evidence of a sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students, and to staff and students with disabilities.

 

SALARY:

 

Lecture Rate: $48.00 to $73.50 per hour depending upon education and experience

 

Lab Rate: $41.80 to $64.00 per hour depending upon education and experience

 

Activity Rate: $30.89 to $48.21 per hour depending upon education and experience
