SUMMARY: School Social Workers in the Blaine County School District enhance the academic mission by providing services which strengthen home, school, and community partnerships. Their practice includes prevention, assessment, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, individual and group counseling, program development, and coordination of school and community services. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Possess a Master's Degree in Social Work. Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Idaho Pupil Personnel Services credential endorsed for School Social Worker (K-12). Must have a valid Idaho Master's Level Social Worker License (LMSW) issued by the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses, which requires 20 additional continuing education hours per year to maintain validity. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Spanish language skills preferred.
