Job Summary

The Program Manager, Health and Wellness is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and managing the District's school nursing program and related services, including special health and wellness programs to support the educational achievement of students; supervise and evaluate assigned personnel.

The implementation of the District's Wellness Policy promotes student wellness, proper nutrition, nutrition education, and regular physical activity as part of the total learning experience which supports Vision 2020. Successful candidates will have a depth of understanding and experience leading programs, interventions and services to promote students' nutrition/fitness/health and their school attendance, access to education and ability to learn. The incumbent will report to the Instructional Support Officer of Student Services and will collaborate with a variety of integrated student services departments to enhance the sphere of success for all students.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of training, education and/or experience equivalent to the credentials requirement and seven years of school nursing experience; three years of the required experience must include experience in a supervisory or management level position. Experience as a nurse practitioner is preferred. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license. Valid California Administrative Services Credential and Health Services of School Nurse Credential.
