Requirements / Qualifications
Valid CA Teaching Credential, authorizing service in area of assignment. Copy of the Credential must be attached to the electronic application. SUMMER SCHOOL positions are hired based on enrollment and/or funding. Position may be collapsed or eliminated due to lack of enrollment and/or funding. Calexico Unified School District is an AA/EOE. •Candidate must:
1) Be available for the full summer session
2) Have a satisfactory evaluation during the regular year and previous summer school assignments.
3) Must hold appropriate English Learner Authorization.
• Any certificated employee on a 200-day contract or less may apply for a summer school assignment.
• The selection criteria will be based on: Experience in subject/grade level area, credential authorizations, major/minor areas of study, recommendations, prior performance evaluations and instructional requirements of summer school program.
• Assignments shall be limited to three (3) consecutive summer sessions, except in unusual circumstances.
