(Part-Time) Community Service Coordinator Position – Albuquerque, NM The Cesar Chavez Foundation is a non-profit organization that serves low-income families in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas through affordable housing and social service programs. Under the direction of the Regional Program Coordinator, the Community Service Coordinator oversees the operations of the Si Se Puede Community Center programs and related activities. This part-time position involves the use of judgment, supervisory ability, and skills in resident/community planning. The position requires implementing and supervising programs, classes and activities for effectiveness. The position requires supervision of residents, volunteers, and student interns. Community Service Coordinators are required to outreach to the community and establish partnership when needed. THE RESPONSIBILITY: • Maintain all ethical practices of the Cesar Chavez Foundation. by serving the community with character, integrity, dignity, and a high degree of professionalism • Implement Cesar Chavez Foundation Resident Service, curriculum & lesson plans, calendars and newsletters in the after school program and adult services • Incorporate service learning and technology as ways to teach • Set healthy goals and behavior practices • Develop and implement effective student/resident recruitment plans • Ensure that all instructional work space is organized and conducive to a learning environment. Provide resources to all residents • Track and submit weekly and monthly reports. Requirements / Qualifications
• A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years • Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or obtain within 30 days) and maintain those certifications • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required for transportation, set up and conducting activities • Ability to work flexible hours including evening and weekends as necessary
THE REQUIREMENTS: • Preferred - Have at least 48 units of college credit from a two-year accredited college or related experience in Education/Youth Development/Community Services • Preferably bilingual • Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/Access) required • Able to work in a fast paced environment • Live scan Fingerprint/ background check • Must provide proof of a negative TB test result taken within the last 2 years • Candidate should be able to commit for the 2020-2021 school year • Available Monday-Friday 4-5 hours during After-School hours (2:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
