Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience involving youth activities and programs. Relevant experience, education, certificates and/or licenses may be substituted. Requires a valid California Driver’s License, First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate. SB 1626 Training Certificate required within 6 mos. of employment. First Aid and CPR certificates must be submitted to District Office by June 5, 2020 (online certificates are not accepted). See approved provider list included in posting.

The process will include a written examination, for all qualified applicants, to be scheduled at a later date. Candidates achieving a passing score of 70% on the written exam will be invited to the oral/performance examination. Passing score is 70% on each exam. An eligibility list will be established and the top ranks of candidates, plus transfers, will receive a departmental interview. All examinations are based on the job description for the position.
