Inspire Charter School teachers provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. High school teachers will use a variety of online resources to deliver content, but will also need to adapt, differentiate, and scaffold curriculum for students with different learning abilities. Teachers are expected to deliver virtual instruction and assistance to students through collaborative software. Teachers will organize and implement an instructional program that results in student academic success in accordance with Inspire Charter Schools and state policies and law.
Teachers are expected to:
- communicate regularly with students, parents, and other teachers through a variety of tools: phone, messaging, and email
- maintain positive and professional communication with students, parents, and school staff
- ensure that all subject standards are met
- assist all students in completing the course successfully
- grade student work within 24-48 hours of being submitted
- evaluate student work by providing written feedback and comments on all submitted assignments
- create and modify lessons plans for various classes and grade levels
- follow 504 and IEP accommodations
- encourage participation in office hours
- monitor student progress
- encourage students to maintain attendance and academic expectations
- maintain an up-to-date online gradebook
- hold regular virtual instructional sessions and office hours
- participate in professional development and department meetings
- meet professional expectations as outlined in teacher training and employee handbook
- assist with administering standardized assessments
- direct students to necessary resources (teachers, tutors, counselors, administrators, etc.)
- properly document issues, concerns, and important information concerting students/parents
- organize student data in the school's information database
- comply with any additional duties as needed

Only applicants with valid California Single Subject Credentials will be considered. Applicants with multiple single subject credentials will have preference.
