About the Employer
Welcome to Amador County Public Schools! Our unified P-12 district serves about 4,000 students and consists of the Amador County Unified School District and the Amador County Office of Education. Our schools and communities are nestled in the heart of the Gold Country in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, close to San Francisco, Sacramento, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. We offer a variety of quality schools including two comprehensive high schools, one alternative high school, two junior high schools, and six elementary schools.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must pass NCLB Instructional Assistant exam (available from Human Resources Office) or provide transcripts showing a minimum of an AA degree or 48 college semester units, and also provide proof of high school graduation or equivalent.
Internal applicants may complete the 2015-2016 Transfer Application. External applicants apply via Edjoin online or paper applications are available at 217 Rex Ave., Jackson

A pre-employment physical, DOJ fingerprinting, and clear TB test is required at time of hiring. The State Preschool Office will arrange EMSA CPR and 1st Aide Training after employment begins. This position is being advertised internally and externally simultaneously. Any qualified internal COE applicants will receive first consideration.
