Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the general direction of Director, Special Services or Director, South County Consortium provides assessment, consultation, and direct occupational therapy to students enrolled in or referred to special education programs; collaborates with general and special education staff and parents to identify strategies, methods and patterns of instructional support. Participates as a member of the educational team, develops assessment reports, identifies student abilities, develops student IEP goals and individual occupational therapy intervention plans. Maintains appropriate documentation and reports. Provides staff development training to educational personnel. Completes other related work as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Graduation from an accredited program in occupational therapy. - Current and valid license issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy to practice occupational therapy - Experience working with students with disabilities aged 3-22 years old is preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board, Inc. - Valid California driver's license
