ATTACHMENT 3 JOB DESCRIPTION SECONDARY TEACHER POSITION This position is one that requires a person who not only can adequately impart knowledge of the academic disciplines to young people but also becomes an example of the living Word of God, a godly example in which young people can see the reflections of Jesus Christ in his/her life. The teacher is recommended by the Principal to the Superintendent for final approval. QUALIFICATIONS A. Academic Holds at least a Bachelor’s Degree Holds and maintains an ACSI Teacher Certification Encouraged to pursue a California State Teaching Credential B. Spiritual Is a born-again Christian Regularly attends a church which is in agreement with the Statement of Faith of Heritage Christian School Agrees with the Statement of Faith of Heritage Christian School C. Personal Has a love for students Has a gift of teaching or a call to teach Has a conviction of being called by God to serve in a Christian school Is emotionally stable Possesses physical and mental stamina Has an ability to work well with others Has compassion for those who may find learning difficult Can accept constructive direction and suggestions Is punctual and responsible in assuming duties Has positive classroom management Willing to make changes when necessary to follow suggestions for improvement Willing to take continuing educational classes to better teaching skills D.
