TVT Community Day School seeks a gifted Jewish Studies/Hebrew teacher for its Lower School (Grades TK-5). This full-time faculty member will work collaboratively with the Hebrew/Jewish Studies Team and the General Studies Teachers, and they will teach Jewish Studies (TaNaKH) and Jewish Holidays as well as modern day Hebrew.
A successful candidate for this position will appreciate the art and craft of teaching, embrace challenges, cultivate a rich life outside of school, find deep satisfaction in working with younger students, possess the emotional acuity and personality to inspire and engage kids, and maintain an excellent sense of humor. Teaching can be difficult work, but it is wildly fun and meaningful. This candidate will also wish to contribute to the larger life of TVT outside of the classroom. Additionally, this candidate should feel comfortable using technology to bolster learning experiences. We seek a teacher who is able to plan, organize, and implement differentiated instructional programs and effectively collaborate with grade-level teams and colleagues. TVT is a highly collaborative environment; grade-level teams work together to plan and implement their lessons. Strong communication skills and the desire to develop partnerships with students and parents are central to the culture here at TVT.

Qualifications
- Must be fluent in Hebrew
- Teaching experience in Jewish Studies and/or Hebrew, or credential preferred, but not required
- Enthusiastic educator with excellent communication and leadership skills
- Relates respectfully with students, faculty, administration and families
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills required
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and administrators
- Ability to maintain confidential and positive working relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, parents, students, school and community organizations vendors and the general public
Compensation Range
58K-103K (Bands 1-3) Compensation Range
The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $58,200 - $102,900. The starting salary is based upon, but not limited to, several factors that include type and years of experience, education level, and expertise.
