Requirements / Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree in natural sciences, environmental sciences or a related field AND
- Experience: One year of related experience

- Valid California driver's license
- A driving record which meets the County Office of Education's insurance requirements
- A valid First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary (CPR) Certificate

THE POSITION
The Student Services Division is now accepting applications for Environmental Education Program Lead.
The Program Lead is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of environmental education programs and activities as well as for establishing positive and confident relationships with potential client school districts and other organizations. This job class requires a high degree of initiative, problem-solving, and public relations skills. This job class receives limited supervision within a broad framework of policies and procedures. Employees in this classification may direct and coordinate the work of others in a lead capacity.
This position is full-time, and has a work year of 10 months / 180 days / 8 hours.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES
Following the final filing date, the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated. The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a written exam, tentatively scheduled for March 3, 2020. Those who pass the written exam will be invited to participate in a panel interview with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for March 10, 2020. Based on the final scores of qualified candidates, Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list. Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for March 17, 2020. Candidates will be invited over email to participate in examination and selection steps, using the email supplied within their Governmentjobs.com applications, or as updated by candidates in their Governmentjobs.com master profiles. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates check their email at least daily.
