We are searching for an experienced Part-time Chemistry at our Santa Maria Campus facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Chemistry 120, Introduction to Chemistry & Chemistry 150, General Chemistry
Allan Hancock College is accepting applications to establish a pool of qualified candidates to teach Introduction to Chemistry (120) & General Chemistry (150) at the Santa Maria Campus and the Lompoc Valley Center.
Special Qualification:
Evidence of a sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students, and to staff and students with disabilities.
In its desire to select outstanding faculty members from the largest possible pool of qualified applicants, Allan Hancock College recognizes candidates may have attained expertise in a discipline through a variety of means. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged by the district as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for this position. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications are encouraged to complete the equivalency form and provide appropriate documentation of their qualifications.
SALARY:
Lecture Rate: $48.00 to $73.50 per hour depending upon education and experience
Lab Rate: $41.80 to $64.00 per hour depending upon education and experience
Activity Rate: $30.89 to $48.21 per hour depending upon education and experience

QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: Master's in chemistry
OR
bachelor's in chemistry or biochemistry
AND
master's in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology, or geochemistry
OR
the equivalent per Board Policy 7211.
