
Cloud Support Technician (PAF 2870, 2871) at San Diego County Office Of Education
Requirements / Qualifications
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to fill two (2) vacancies for Cloud Support Technician in the Infrastructure and Operations Department of the Integrated Technology Services Division. Under general supervision, operates various computer systems in a multi-processing database and data communications environment, including many peripherals and related equipment; and trains and leads the work of assigned personnel. This position monitors and maintains SDCOE virtual infrastructure and services, SDCOE Cloud Compute, and Storage system, and assures proper processing of input data and output reports.
We are recruiting for two (2) vacancies (1 day shift and 1 night shift):
- Day shift: Typical work schedule: Monday- Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
- Night Shift: Typical work schedule: Monday- Friday, 3:30 PM - 12 AM. This shift qualifies for a 5% shift differential.
This position requires training and experience in a multi-process environment which clearly demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities detailed above. An example of typical qualifying experience would include: Experience in Microsoft Hyper-V 2012 or above experience highly desirable. Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting RedHat Linux and Windows server 2012 and above operating systems. Work experience with microcomputers is required. Experience with Cloud services, and administration experience with Office 365/Azure or AWS is desirable.
