Job Summary

The primary role of an instructional assistant (IA) is to assist the teacher in all facets of daily classroom management, as they can expect to divide their time between working with students, providing behavioral support, and completing administrative tasks assigned by the teacher.

  • Assisted teacher in controlling behavioral and emotional occurrence by employing techniques.
  • Provided one-on-one tutoring services for students
  • Provided direction to students in independent study
  • Assisted educator with non-instructional projects and duties
  • Helped teacher in implementing discipline
  • Assisted teacher in classroom activities 

 

Requirements / Qualifications

Instructional Aides should have instructional skills, organization, attention to detail, reliability, and communication. Most candidates hold an Associate's Degree in a relevant field. Must be friendly and love to work with students
