We help students succeed when the traditional high school model does not work for them. Many students have to work, some are teen parents, others have to care for family members and some just want to get away from the traditional school model. Whatever the reason, we offer a free and innovative approach focused on personalized learning.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: • Ability to respect the learner as a person of worth • Be willing to learn ways which will bring about the growth of self-esteem as well as improved skills • Demonstrate patience, encouragement and understanding when working with students • An acute ability to listen, building a relationship of mutual respect and confidence • Ability to work independently with minimal direction • Knowledgeable in the use of standard office computer programs and a variety of educational programs • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent analytical and organizational skills MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Associates Degree from an accredited state college • Three to five years of related tutorial/mentoring experience • Knowledgeable in Math and Reading teaching techniques DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: • Bilingual English/Spanish • A demonstrated interest in a teaching career
