We are looking for aspiring Science, Math and/or Special Education educators to join our middle and high school teams! Reporting to the school principal, you will be working with a veteran teacher and will gradually take on more teaching responsibilities over time. After successfully completing your first year, you will transition into a full-time teaching position. Responsibilities Maintain the unwavering belief in the extraordinary potential of every student. Maintain a growth mindset with all stakeholders. Build authentic relationships with students by serving as a mentor; consistently reinforce the belief that all students have the capacity to be successful through college. Build authentic relationships with families through school events, phone calls and conferences. Facilitate students’ mastery of academic standards through long-term planning, daily and weekly lesson plans, and execution of rigorous and engaging daily instruction. Collaborate with ACE Learning Specialists to support a full-inclusion model of Special Education to the greatest extent possible. Create a warm yet firm classroom culture through consistent implementation of behavior ladders. Celebrate student growth, as well as proficiency. Consistently integrate coaching feedback. Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders. Approach professional development (training, observations, coaching and feedback) with commitment and reflection. Education & Experience You hold a bachelor’s degree. Your passing CBEST and CSET exams are strongly preferred. You are a mission-driven individual who has experience working with diverse student populations, including English language learners and students with disabilities. Your ability to speak in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
