This is a Promotional/Open Opportunity. Any interested candidates may apply. Current monthly-salaried employees that successfully pass the examination process receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible lists. The Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy motorized construction and repair equipment. There is currently one (1) full-time, 12-month/year position available. OSS Salary Grade: 048

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to two years of recent, full-time, paid experience in the operation of graders, tractors, bulldozers, cranes, truck-trailer combinations, and other heavy motorized construction equipment. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California driver's license with a Class A rating and availability of a private automobile (mileage expense allowance provided). Mechanical aptitude.
