Job Summary

Job Purpose Statements: The Stage Technician Supervisor works under the direction of Facilities and Operations to manage and maintain school auditoriums and theatrical equipment. Provides for the setting up and taking down of scenery, lighting, audio and rigging equipment or events. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: (Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential functions shown below. This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, knowledge, or abilities associated with this classification, but is intended to accurately reflect the principal job elements.)

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in related field desirable. A minimum of three (3) years related experience. Must maintain a valid California driver’s license and automobile available for use and be insurable under the District’s standard market insurance rates. Must be willing to attend evening, night, weekend events/activities, and be on call. Valid First Aid (FA) and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: Procedures to ensure safety in the design, construction and maintenance of theatrical sets. Knowledge in the diagnosis and repair of equipment used in theatrical productions. SKILLS: Skills in the maintenance and construction of theatrical equipment, including lighting and control equipment, stage rigging and other various types of audio equipment. ABILITY TO: Ability to promote and maintain positive and productive working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties.
