Maxim Healthcare Services is looking to hire Licensed School Psychologists to work assignments with school districts across the Greater Los Angeles Area. Under the Direction of Student Support Services, the School Psychologist evaluates needs of all children within educational system or school; assists students in understanding and seeking solutions to social emotional or academic problems and issues; serves as a resource to the site principal pertaining to student behavior management and learning strategies and welfare and attendance problems and concerns; plans and carries out programs to enable children to attain maximum achievement and adjustment.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s Degree, all required fieldwork/internship and teaching;
Credential/License:
- Valid Pupil Personnel Credential authorizing service in School Psychology.
- Valid California Driver’s License
Experience:
Knowledge of:
- California State Standards, current principles, methods, techniques, strategies and trends in educational, social and emotional adjustment assessment functions.
- Applicable and appropriate psychological and achievement appraisal instruments, techniques and procedures.
- Social service and youth service agencies in the local and greater metropolitan area.
- Social, emotional and behavioral characteristics of preschool and school-age students.
- Evaluation and research techniques, strategies and procedures; curriculum and instruction programs proven to be beneficial to pupils with special learning needs.
- Conflict resolution procedures.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
