Position Summary

This position is assigned to the Operations department.

Assignment Responsibilities

? Sweeps, scrubs, applies finishes to and polish floors.

? Vacuums and steams rugs and carpets

? Sweeps walks and entrances.

? Cleans windows, woodwork, walls, and furniture.

? Disinfects/cleans restrooms and drinking fountains.

? Picks up refuse, and recyclables, and transports.

? Moves and arranges furniture and equipment for classroom changes and set-ups for college and community events.

? Moves and washes district/college vehicles.

? Participates in thorough cleaning and restoration of facilities during off-peak periods (at which time work shifts may change to accommodate cleaning schedule).

? Locks and unlocks doors, gates, and windows.

? Performs maintenance and minor repairs.

? Receives and picks up supplies and equipment.

? Operates and maintains cleaning equipment.

? Reports safety, sanitary, and fire hazards.

? Performs related duties as assigned.

Special Requirements

Employment is contingent upon meeting the requirements of Los Rios Board Regulation R-8343, including possessing and maintaining a valid California Driver’s License. This position may require operating a District or personal vehicle in order to complete assigned work within the scope of the position duties.

Any offer of employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of a medical evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: One year of general work experience including some experience in custodial work.

(Experience Requirement: One year of experience is equal to 12 months of experience at a maximum of 40 hours per week. Applicable part-time experience will be converted to the full-time equivalent for purposes of meeting the experience requirement.)
