The Pajaro Valley Unified School District annually hires coaches to prepare athletes for competition.
Coaches have responsibility for:
a. teaching sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics;
b. conditioning athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility;
c. supervising and conducting practices and contests safely; supervising locker rooms and buses;
d. teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team;
e. monitoring athletes' school attendance, grades and personal conduct;
f. responding to player injuries with approved first aid techniques;
g. managing uniforms, equipment and school facilities in a responsible manner;
h. provide coverage for absence of coaches.

Pajaro Valley High School is seeking persons interested in becoming the Head Varsity Softball coach beginning with the 2019-2020 season. We are a school of around 1400 students with an administration that understands the importance of the strong link between athletics and academics. A chief objective is to hire an individual who will make a home at Pajaro Valley High and build the program to an elite level.
ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION Employment with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements. As part of the selection process, all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification; CPR; and first aid
