We are very excited to announce that the application for the Alder WIDE SoCal Teacher Residency Program with WISH, ICEF Public Schools, Da Vinci Schools, Environmental, L.A. Promise, and Ednovate Charter Schools and El Segundo Unified School District in the Los Angeles area is now open! The priority application deadline is October 12th, 2020 for residents applying to be part of the 2021-2022 cohort, with courses starting in June of 2021. This is an innovative and affordable pathway to a full-time teaching career in our community. The residency is an exciting opportunity to earn your Master’s Degree and Teaching Credential in just one year. You will be joining a supportive, mentor-based program with an emphasis on social justice and equity through the Alder Graduate School of Education. IMAGINE... -Earning your Master’s Degree and Teaching Credential in one year. -Apprenticing four days a week with an expert teacher in one of our highly effective organizations -Engaging in critical conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion with your mentor, instructors, and peers. -Receiving priority consideration for a full-time teaching position upon completing the program in the hosting organization. -Doing all of this at a cost that is affordable and includes financial support.
