About the Employer

The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) serves some of Orange County’s most vulnerable student populations and provides support and mandated fiscal oversight to 28 school districts serving more than 600 schools and approximately 475,000 students. In addition to providing direct instruction to students through its own alternative and special education programs, OCDE administers an array of programs and services that are critical to the operations of local school districts and community colleges, facilitating professional development, legal guidance, payroll, career and technical education support, high-speed internet access, Local Control and Accountability Plan assistance and approval, resources for families, and student enrichment. Job Summary

Job Summary

The OCDE is looking for a dynamic individual to, design, coordinate and manage the implementation of internal and external evaluation projects. Serve as a resource to Orange County school district’s administrative teams in the areas of outcomes and performance. Provide highly responsible assistance to the Associate Superintendent of Educational Services and staff as assigned. Key Responsibilities Include: -Develop, coordinate and monitor program evaluations including instrumentation decisions, data collection strategies, decisions concerning data integrity, data analysis coordination, program monitoring and reporting. -Analyze data for the purpose of assisting districts with analysis of student groups, program effectiveness, and differentials between school sites. -Identify training needs and develop workshops for Orange County schools and districts regarding program evaluation, assessments and continuous improvement practices. -Conduct presentations in the use of data linkages between educational institutions including schools, districts and institutions of higher education.

Education. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in mathematics, education, social science, or a related field. Master's Degree Preferred. Experience. Five years in increasingly responsible experience in program or project development and management. There are supplemental questions in the application.
