Requirements / Qualifications
Assists in developing and implementing intervention plans which promote positive relationships between parents, community representatives and school personnel which would improve the behavior and attendance of students;Itinerant position based in the Pupil Personnel Services Dept.Monitor truant students attendance, make home visits and be an active participant in various school sites Student Assistance Program (SAP) and/or Student Attendance Review Team (SART) meetings.See job description for more detail. Two years of college-level coursework in education, health education, outdoor education, social sciences, social work or a closely related field or at least four years of progressively responsible experience in community relations or public relations (or an equivalent combination of training, experience and education and a valid driver's license; Desirable Qualifications: 4-6 years working with youth and/or their families Exp. working with student/youth support programs and services College level education or equivalent work experience Social work internship or case management exp.
