Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director, Child Welfare and Attendance or the Director, Special Education this position is responsible for providing services to support students’ social, emotional and life adjustment to the school environment. LEUSD Social Workers will serve as a link between the home, school, and community in providing direct as well as indirect services to students, families and school personnel in order to promote and support students' academic and social success.

Minimum Qualifications: Education/ Experience Required: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university Social Work (MSW) Knowledge of: Fundamental principles, techniques, applicable laws, rules, policies and procedures of social work. Familiarity with evidence based counseling, behavioral intervention, and socialization strategies. Ability to determine and refer available and appropriate social support resources. Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW – Preferred, Possession of a California Pupil Personnel Services credential – Preferred, valid CA Driver’s License and evidence of insurability; Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance; Negative pre-employment drug screen test; Negative TB results.

Comments and Other Information
Starting salary dependent on years of similar job experience.
After a conditional offer of employment, applicants will be required to pay the cost of all pre-employment processing which may include: fingerprints $49.00, drug screening $49.00, TB test $23.00.
