Requirements / Qualifications
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Conference Center Attendant, under general supervision, receives and greets guests, conference attendees and members of the public, operate a multiple line telephone, and provides general information or directs host callers to appropriate individuals/locations. Incumbents in this class utilize independent judgment without close supervision in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to the Conference Center and performs a variety of routine clerical tasks related to assigned division. Generally, incumbents will be involved in frequent contact with the public, visitors, conference attendees and others by greeting individuals, providing general information with respect to the county office, and directing guests or visitors to appropriate locations or individuals. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: One year of clerical work, including experience in receptionist work, developing schedules, experience with multi-line telephone system, and greeting or providing general information. One year (24 semester or 36 quarter units of an accredited college level secretarial or clerical training may be substituted for the required experience on a year-to year basis). REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED TESTING: Once this position closes, your application will be screened for minimum qualifications.
