Title of Position: High School Theater/Drama Teacher Directly Responsible to: School Leader(s) Status: Full-time; Exempt Primary Function: Develop and implement an integrated, standards-based theater curriculum that utilizes constructivist instructional methods in the appropriate subject matter and grade levels. Create a healthy and safe learning environment that demonstrates respect for all and supports student success. Communicate and partner effectively with parents to support student learning. Evaluate student learning and adapt to evaluation data to continually improve our academic program. Minimum Qualifications: (*) Bachelor’s Degree (*) Valid CA Single Subject English Teaching Credential (*) Valid CA English Learner Authorization (*) TB Test clearance & DOJ finger printing clearance (*) 2+ successful years teaching students in the 8-12 grade range with a track record of advancing student achievement (*) Complete familiarity with the CA Academic Content Standards for Visual and Performing Arts.
