Applicants selected from the paper screening process will be invited to interview. The interview process consists of a panel interview and performance task and is scheduled for Thursday, June 27, 2019. The TRAC teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing social emotional learning initiatives at the school site. This will include SEL lessons in general education classrooms, Tier II small group SEL instruction and supporting school wide activities to promote social inclusion and a positive school climate. There are 5 positions available for the 2019-20 school year: 29 hours per week/5 days a week at Ocean Knoll Elementary 29 hours per week/5 days a week at Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary 29 hours per week/5 days a week at Paul Ecke Central Elementary - Bilingual Preferred 29 hours per week/5 days a week - 1 teacher will work at 2 schools (1 week at one school and 1 week at the other school) 29 hours per week - 1 teacher will work at a school every other week. Position requires knowledge of and ability to: • Provide direct SEL (Social Emotional Learning) lessons to students in grades Kinder-6th • Support classroom teacher and related services staff in managing student behavioral needs • Instruct and facilitate small groups of students to encourage appropriate social skills learning • Other duties as required by supervisor No Health and Welfare benefits offered. Successful candidates will be required to pass fingerprint background check, physical and drug screen and provide negative Tuberculin Skin Test result prior to working in Encinitas Union School District.
