Job Summary
Perform a variety of responsible accounting and clerical duties involved with the preparation, maintenance and review of financial and payroll records. Perform a variety of office and accounting support duties following established policies, procedures and regulations required of the Fiscal Office. Has functional responsibility for coordinating office support activities between the school office, Fiscal office and the Superintendent. Will be required to organize and be organized, take responsibility in performing the various activities that occur in the Fiscal office.
Requirements / Qualifications
Requires full knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Must be knowledgeable of professional office practices and procedures, telephone etiquette, letter and report writing skills. Proficient in the proper use of English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Must have an understanding of office equipment – fax machine, printers, computers, calculators and other office peripheral equipment. Knowledge of general accounting, principles and practices of financial record keeping, and mathematical principals in bookkeeping. Two years of higher education (college) required. As well as two to four years of clerical and accounting office experience. Experience in public education desirable.
Additional requirements if hired. Department of Justice (DOJ) clearance. Current driver’s license and First Aid certification. TB Clearance
