Requirements / Qualifications

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The School Social Worker is responsible for assessing home, school, social, and community factors that may affect a student's learning, school adjustment, and general well-being. The School Social Worker will identify and assist students, families and school systems, to overcome obstacles that interfere with learning through the use of assessment, behavioral counseling, coordination of school and community resources, and program development. The School Social Worker will function as a mental health professional on multi-disciplinary teams and provide on-going clinical case management services as needed. This position is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the management leadership team.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching or social worker experience which would demonstrate exposure to and utilization of required skills, knowledge and abilities in performing job-related duties and responsibilities in a K-12 public education setting. EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field from an accredited college/university. The following documents are required upon hire: Valid CA Driver's License, Master's Degree, TB, and Fingerprint clearance. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENCES: •Possession of a California Pupil Personnel Services credential with emphasis in Social Work •Valid California Driver’s License
