Job Summary
Job Summary
The job of HVAC Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibility for identifying HVAC repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; maintaining and repairing food service equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site. This job reports to the Director-Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations.
Requirements / Qualifications
Graduation from high school AND five (5) years of training/work experience as an apprentice HVAC Technician or at least five (5) years’ experience as a Maintenance Worker II with the Barstow Unified School District in an area in which the incumbent has acquired journey-level skill in this trade as determined and certified to by the Director - Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations. Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability, EPA Refrigerant License, and HVAC EPA Certification.
