2 plus years teaching in a middle school/high school classroom required Lab based instructional background a plus Familiarity with the NGSS curriculum has a deep interest and passion for teaching Science has an understanding of middle school students and enjoys working with them can create a developmentally appropriate cooperative learning environment has interest in and/or experience with integrating thematic units across the curriculum values collegiality with other teachers and administrators has excellent communication skills with both children and adults has experience collaborating with a team of teachers to deliver curriculum has a warm and energetic personality with a good sense of humor has experience in educational technology and the using of a Macbook has basic knowledge in IB (not required, but preferred) Will be willing to have additional duties that may include coaching, running clubs and teaching an elective class.
