2026-2027 School Year Part time English teacher/Part time IS Teacher. Independent Study Teachers for Northern United-Humboldt Charter School are certificated teachers who work directly with students, providing individualized instruction whether in a designated learning center or a public or private facility. Daily schedules require flexibility and may include direct instruction in person or via electronic means at least once every 20 days consistent with the master student agreement. Additional collaborative work may regularly take place with parents, coworkers and administrators to ensure high academic performance and achievement of these students. The teacher provides direct differentiated instruction to students, and provides positive and consistent management and behavioral intervention and support. The teacher also completes all necessary paperwork as set forth by California Education Code, school policies and procedures.
