POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Coordinator/Principal, CTE, is for the purpose/s of serving as coordinator within the Division of Educational Services, for the Career Technical Education unit. Positions in this class will be assigned a wide scope of management and administrative responsibilities within the designated areas of Career Technical Education (CTE) with emphasis on program operation, program planning, development and evaluation, other support services to educational program functions; serve as a resource on curriculum and program operations to county office personnel, schools districts, and other agencies; maintain staffing to ensure that the program objectives are achieved within budget; and perform other related duties as assigned. This position is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in a public secondary school setting or post secondary experience and at least two (2) years of administrative support or supervisory which would demonstrate exposure to and utilization of required skills, knowledge, and abilities in performing job-related duties and responsibilities is required. Experience in a business, industry, or vocational/Career Technical Education (CTE) setting is desired. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University in Educational Administration, or closely related field is required. Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related field desirable.
CERTIFICATES: •Possession of a valid California Teaching and Administrative Credential appropriate for K-12 public school administration The following documents are required upon hire: Valid CA Driver's License, Master's Degree, TB, and Fingerprint clearance.
- Credential Copy (Valid California Teaching or Service Credential, and Administrative Credential appropriate for K-12 public school administration)
- Letter of Introduction (Letter is required to be specific to this position)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two original signed letters of recommendation are required to be dated within the last two years prior to the date of submission. Electronic or unsigned letters are not acceptable. One letter from a supervisor is preferred but not required.)
