Dual Immersion/Spanish teacher will provide a planned instructional program in the target language of Spanish for students in kindergarten and first grade in Language Arts, mathematics, and social studies and kindergarten homeroom, following curriculum specified by St. Philomene School and the Diocese of Sacramento. A strong emphasis is placed on the Catholic faith and its growth in our students, and the student’s progress toward academic achievement and the Schoolwide Learning Expectations. The teacher is entrusted with the student’s social and personal growth, providing guidance and example that promote our mission and philosophy. The teacher performs this trust in cooperation with the parents, who are the primary educators of their children, with the assistance of support staff and school administration. Must be an excellent language model, both written and verbal, in Spanish and English.
