Sunrise Middle School is a public charter school serving the whole child. We are seeking a science teacher who has a teaching credential or is working toward one. This teacher should be skilled in classroom management and differentiation for both advanced and traditionally underserved students. We are seeking a teacher who understands what immigrant and low-income youth have been through, who loves middle school students, who is passionate, and who knows how to make school relevant to students' lives. Candidates must: • be able to make science engaging and hands-on; * believe in the potential of each youth; * view each student as college bound; • contribute to the creation of a school-wide culture; • build close connections with students, their families and the school community; • and, be willing to participate in all aspects of school life. We are seeking teachers who are positive, dedicated, flexible and risk takers!
