General Requirements::

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older • Must pass a DOJ/FBI background check • Must receive TB clearance • Must pass pre-employment drug screening • Must have a valid California Driver License • Proof of auto insurance coverage • Must be able to travel between sites and administrative office or other locations • Must be willing to work some weekends when staff development or other activities are scheduled.

Core Competencies: :

• Strong classroom management skills • Ability to maintain a solution-based focus • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency • Excellent organizational skills • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency • Ability to communicate effectively with students, coworkers, school staff and parents.

ParaEducator Information:

If the applicant does not possess a degree or 48 college units, s/he has the option to take the Paraeducator exam. Please contact me for additional details.

Experience:

Successful completion of 6 months' work experience with an expanded learning program or a school district.
