Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Administrative Services Credential (California) Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, with a major in human resources, business or public administration or a related field. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of job-related experience with demonstrated competence. Knowledge of: Comprehensive risk management programs. Accident prevention and loss control programs. Personnel administration, including methods and techniques used in labor relations, recruitment and selection, classification and affirmative action. Pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations. Insurance regulations and programs. Claims processing procedures and policies. Research and analysis techniques. Safety laws and regulations. Technology and computer software applications. Principles and practices of leadership, management, supervision and training. Budget development and control. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Recent experience as a Human Resources and Risk Management administrator. Previous experience working effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse groups. Successful experience in areas of conflict resolution. Ability to use a consultative approach to resolving work related issues. Previous experience in leadership, coaching and team building skills to strengthen and cultivate relationships. Strategic and analytical thinking skills and the ability to apply deductive reasoning and draw conclusions in order to solve problems and facilitate decision-making processes. Ability to continuously seek quality service and process improvements in order to support a mission and strategic vision.
