  • Expertise in special education, curriculum and instruction, budget, and the professional development/coaching of administrators
  • Documented performance experience in personnel and human resource services.

  • Evidence of willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the Board of Trustees and the California Department of Education.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with employees, parents and other community members, and employees of agencies focusing on youth.
  • Collective bargaining experience desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and practices.

KUSD has enjoyed outstanding leadership that has resulted in successful educational programs for all students living at the southern end of beautiful Clear Lake in Lake County, California. The Board of Trustees is now seeking a Superintendent who can further the accomplishments of the district. That leader will have a proven record of serving all elements of a diverse community through developing and supporting effective educational programs and services, delivered by strongly dedicated and hard-working professional and classified staffs. Community: KUSD serves the educational needs of the City of Clearlake and the townships of Clearlake Oaks, Lower Lake, Spring Valley and parts of Cobb Mountain. Lake County is a beautiful recreational and agricultural area centered around Clear Lake, the largest natural lake in California. The many small communities of Lake County provide a wide variety of recreation, sports, art, music and cultural opportunities.
