Ability to multi-task, good customer service skills, computer and bookkeeping skills desired. Performs job-related duties as required. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Please see Job Description ------------------------------------------------------------------------ EXAMINATION INFORMATION: Location : Willow Creek Center, 1026 Mohr Lane, Concord; Computer Lab Date : TBD - Applicants will be contacted with time and date Time : 9 A.M.(Approximate test time is 2.5 hours); no admittance once testing begins APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED WITH DATE AND TIME. YOU WILL NEED TO CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE. ----------------------------------------------------------------- SELECTION PROCEDURE: All applicants are required to take and pass the written examination scheduled above. Areas covered on the examination are math, grammar, spelling, filing, name and number checking, interpersonal skills, composition of a WORD memo or letter, and a WORD table and timed typing. Typing certificate for 35 net wpm, within the past six months, will be accepted or applicants may take timed typing test at exam. If submitting a certificate, it must be submitted with application, by final filing date (online typing certificates will not be accepted). Computers will be used for typing exercises. TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
• Two years responsible office experience
• Or an equivalent combination of training and experience
KNOWLEDGE OF:
• Office practices, procedures, machines and equipment
• Basic accounting procedures
• Supervisory principles and techniques
• District organization, policy and operations
SKILL IN:
• Preparing legal documents from general instructions
• Composing letters or memorandums, preparing reports and establishing records and filing systems
• Working independently without specific instructions
• Establishing effective relationships with other employees and the public
• Operating a microcomputer
