SUMMARY American Indian Model Schools in Oakland, CA is accepting applications for the 2018-2019 school year to fulfill the role of Sports Coach. This role will enhance the athletic department at AIMS Middle School or High School and provide students with the opportunity to expand their skills. Provide students with high quality sports instruction by creating healthy competition, unity, and an enjoyable experience. This includes fostering physical and mental growth, while upholding the mission, core values, and vision of American Indian Model Schools. QUALIFICATIONS: • NFHS Certification (AIMS will reimburse $50 for Fundamentals of Coaching Training) • CPR/ First Aid Certification (AIMS will reimburse $40 for First Aid/Health & Safety Training) • High School Diploma, from an accredited institution • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, from an accredited institution • Knowledge of coaching fundamentals and development of coaching techniques • Previous sports coaching experience at the appropriate level preferred EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: • Resume • Child Abuse - Mandated Reporter • TB Exam • FBI and California background check
