Requirements / Qualifications

Must hold a minimum of a Bachelors Degree, passing CBEST Certification (California Basic Education Skills Test) and TB clearance. TB Test (TB test must be cleared within 4 years). All applicants must have a valid California teaching credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit. First time applicants may apply for a permit with a Bachelors Degree and CBEST. Upon hire the district will assist with the 30-Day Substitute application process. All applicants are REQUIRED to submit the following documents with their application: Unofficial transcript(s) CBEST Certification Two (2) recent professional letters of recommendation

Three Tier Short Term Rate of Pay 1-25 Days: $75/Half Day $150/Full Day 26-50 Days: $77.50/Half Day $155/Full Day 51 +Days $80/Half Day $160/Full Day Substitute Teachers who reach 25 days by June 30th will continue to progress at these levels for subsequent years. Long Term Rate of Pay 16+ Days-$190 per day for 16 days or more in same assignment. Qualified candidates will be contacted via email the confirming the job requirements and sign-up session attendance. By submitting your application for the Substitute Teacher, Grades K-12, you are acknowledging and accepting that you will be attending the mandatory sign-up meeting. Pick up a sign-up packet in the Human Resources Department prior to the sign-up session Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. Please bring your driver's license or identification card and your social security card when picking up your new hire packet.
