Requirements / Qualifications

DEFINITION Under direction from the Maintenance Supervisor to perform skilled work in installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and system; to perform semi-skilled and skilled duties in other maintenance trade areas; and to do other related work as required. QUALIFICATIONS QUESTIONNAIRE REQUIRED. The Qualifications Questionnaire (QQ) must be completed and submitted with your application as an attachment in order for your application to be considered. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skills would be: Experience: Fours years of experience as a journey level air conditioning and heating maintenance technician in the commercial or industrial field.

Education: Verification of a High School diploma, a GED certificate, or a higher degree, supplemented by training or course work in the maintenance and repair of modern refrigeration, ventilation, heating, and commercial air conditioning equipment. License Requirement: Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License Condition of Employment: Insurability by the District's liability insurance carrier. Possession of E.P.A. Universal Technician Certificate
