The Opportunity: Larchmont Schools seeks to hire a Paraprofessional for to support the instructional needs of students. The Paraprofessional reports directly to the Director of Student Support Services and is overseen on a daily basis by the Resource Teacher. The Paraprofessional is responsible and accountable for providing instructional support services for students with Independent Education Plans (IEPs). The Paraprofessional is an essential member of the special education team and works collaboratively, communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with all stakeholders in our Larchmont Schools learning community. Primary Function: The Paraprofessional supports the special education program by providing support services, instructional accommodations, and modifications to students with special needs. The Paraprofessional is required to perform necessary and appropriate duties to ensure student(s) receive services outlined on their Individual Educational Plan (IEP). This may or may not include supporting Teachers by caring for the physical, social-emotional and academic needs of students with special needs and providing additional support in the form of educational materials and exercises.

Minimum Qualifications: (*) High School Diploma; minimum of two years of college (48 semester units completed); (*) Familiarity working with students in a tutoring environment; (*) TB Test clearance & DOJ finger printing clearance; (*) An enthusiasm to support a young and growing school program.
