Distinguishing Characteristics: The Food Service Worker III classification is the advanced-level position in the series. Incumbents work independently and serve as a lead to other food service staff.
Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years experience in quantity food preparation, cooking, kitchen maintenance or a related field. Licenses and other Requirements: Valid ServeSafe certification. Employees must participate in available training and complete required continuing education/training hours in order to meet USDA professional standards. Valid California Driver’s License and insurance may be required.
