This faculty position requires expertise in teaching emergency medical technician (EMT) and advanced emergency medical technician (AEMT). Emergency Medical Services faculty are professional educators whose primary responsibility is to educate students in the EMT, AEMT and Paramedic program as they strive to become professionals. Faculty acts as role models to students, Emergency Medical Professionals and members of the community. Efforts to improve instruction, student relationships, and student retention are expected. Faculty at CalAPS are expected to always be prepared for class, enthusiastic, and committed to the ideal that all students can and will learn given an educational environment that is stimulating, compassionate and equitable.

EMT instructor should be either a physician, registered nurse, physician assistant, or a paramedic currently licensed in California. Shall have 2 years of academic or clinical experience in emergency medicine or prehospital care in the last 5 years.
