Requirements / Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and possession of the knowledge and abilities listed above. Candidate must have an AA or 2 years of college (48 units). Possession of a valid California Driver’s License; a standard American Red Cross Certificate; Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention (NCPI) trained.

To work with students in the general education or special education classroom in assisting teacher in the implementation of teaching plans, behavior plans, fostering social, communication, and play development, attending training and clinic meetings to address specific issues , attending IEP meetings, pulling students to a one-on-one session to work on specific target skills, assisting children in the general education classroom to foster and generalize individually taught skills, make/create supportive materials (PECS, books, Visual Schedules, etc.) for school and home.
