About our Summer Academy: The De Anza College Academy is a summer enrichment programs include a wide variety of academic and recreational classes. Our highly experienced, credentialed instructors come from universities, colleges, public and private high schools, and K-12 districts. Our programming, robotics, and integrated engineering teachers bring extensive knowledge from schools like MIT, SJSU, Stanford, companies such as Google and HP, and the Stanford School of Medicine. - Python Programming for Raspberry Pi Middle School
Dates / Location / Class Descriptions
- Elementary School (Grades 1-5): June 15 – July 10 at St. Joseph of Cupertino. Individual class times vary. School starts at 8:10 a.m. and go until 3 p.m.
- Middle School (Grades 6-9): June 15 – July 10 at Cupertino Middle School. Individual class times vary. School starts at 8:30 a.m. and go until 5 p.m.
- High School (Grades 9-12): July 13 – July 31 at De Anza College. Individual class times vary. School starts at 8:00 a.m. and go until 5:20 p.m.

Qualifications / Requirements:
- Three plus years of teaching experience in relevant subject area and appropriate grade level division.
- Valid California Teaching Credential in specific subject
- Programming: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and work experience
- Provides an instructional program as defined by district Standards of California State Standards, using the adopted curriculum, for assigned students.
- Submits a complete course outline and syllabus prior to the beginning of school.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to provide planned experiences in order to motivate students and best utilize instructional time.
- Utilizes the appropriate instruction techniques, activities, strategies, and supplemental materials that will adapt the curriculum to the needs of individual students and be consistent with District goals.
- Evaluates, maintains records of academic and growth.
- Communicates with parents regarding student progress.
- Collaborates with other faculty members.
- Fulfills assigned responsibilities for student supervision.
- Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a desirable learning atmosphere which provides physical and psychological security.
- Prepares and submits all required reports and information as required, in a timely manner.
